In Florida, the buyer typically pays for the home inspection. This is because the inspection primarily benefits the buyer by identifying potential issues with the property. However, in some cases, sellers may agree to cover the cost, especially in competitive markets or if they conduct a pre-listing inspection to address issues before listing the home.
The most common issues found in home inspections are related to plumbing, electrical systems, and roofing. Problems like leaky pipes, outdated wiring, or damaged roofs are frequent and can be costly to repair.
